This DVD is a "DVD Magazine" and is made up of several short, independent movies, the main one being Vin Diesel's "Multi-Facial." "Silent Rain in the Ninth" is the worst short on this DVD. It is shot in black and white, which is fine. Nothing wrong with Black and White, thats a great medium. But the movie simply is not very good. It is poorly acted and the production value is minimal. It looks as though they did not bother to block most of their shots, and the movie is full of technical errors, including a JUMP CUT! The editing of the film is noticeably BAD. And the camera work is very poor. Normally I would definitely forgive such technical errors if the film makers were telling a good story. But there really is not much in this story. It is supposed to be a character study, but the main character in this movie is PAPER THIN!If you buy this DVD or rent it, the other shorts are pretty good. Mainly, of course, you will get to see "Multi-Facial" which is the best short film on the DVD. And you get to see 6 portions of a candid interview with the writer, director, producer, and star of "Multi-Facial," Vin Diesel. "Silent Rain in the Ninth" was just plain boring.
