A friend told me about "The two fat ladies". I watched one episode and was completely addicted.
In this day and age of fancy, glitzy cooking shows (which, I do admit, I have viewed and made recipes from), it is refreshing to watch these women.
I am not much of a meat-eater, but I still love the show. The scenery, the bursts into song, the literary quotes and, of course, the style of cooking. They are not fussy, yet make some lovely, unique (and tasty, trust me!) dishes.
Anyone who loves England will enjoy the views as they travel on their motorbike with side car. The little taste of travel and local history combined with cooking is wonderful.
I was so disappointed when both TVO and PBS stopped airing the series (and ceased with Delia's learn to cook at the same time!). Now that I receive the Food Network, I can watch "The ladies" almost every day.
Sit back, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy the Two Fat Ladies. Great stuff!
