The Big Bang Theory exec producer Chuck Lorre is fond of saying that the show isn’t Lost — there’s no grand plan in place building to a revelatory event at the end of the season. Be that as it may, the fifth season of Big Bang has been leading directly to tonight’s finale: the wedding of Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch), and Howard’s on-again, off-again, on-again mission to the International Space Station. Both of those events converge tonight, and the question is: Will the wedding happen? Will Howard go through with the mission? »

It’s Game Of Thrones Episode 16, entitled “The Old Gods And The New,” which refers to both the symbolic ‘changing of the guard’ at Winterfell and King’s Landing, as well as the literal disparity between the Wildlings’ “Old Gods” (The Gods of Murder and Rape) and the modern society’s “New Gods” (The Gods of More Humane Murder and Slightly Lighter Rape). The episode opens with Winterfell instantly being conquered by Theon, thus confirming Bran’s prophetic dream: Theon instructs Bran to yield the town to him and Bran does, prompting the wildling Osha to tell Bran “Don’t you see? It’s your dream – the sea has come to Winterfell.” Bran’s like, “Thanks, Sparknotes, but we all figured that out a week ago.” With this dream now come true, Bran worries, “Uhoh, I hope I don’t have to take the SATs naked at this place that »

Sometimes Mad Men would rather be murky and disturbing than fabulous, and last night's episode featured more chills and less "Chiiiiild," which is what I exclaim when fabulous Joan smirks at an underling. Peggy, Roger, Jane, and Don (no Joan or Betty in sight) spent the episode scaring us with forays into unknown worlds of seediness, trippiness, and violence. Not very glamorous, I'm afraid. But I still dredged up a handful of moments suitable for drag reenactments and exaltation.
1. Peggy knows your stupid beans better than you do.
First of all, when Peggy serves up her infuriated thug grimace, stand back. Shut up. And most importantly, don't pretend you know more than her about beans. After the Heinz exec rejected Peggy's campaign idea, the well-ascoted dame strode to the table, raised her thug jawbone in defiance, and spat, "You have to run with this! It's young! And it's beautiful! No »

The Flaming Lips featuring New Fumes released a video for their track "Girl, You're So Weird." The track is off the Lips' upcoming collaboration album, The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, set to release on Record Store Day.
"Girl, You're So Weird" features two gorgeous ladies spray cans of colored smoke and glitter, then prance around a small room with Daniel Huffman and Wayne Coyne. The musicians accept the women's antics while catatonically performing the song on the ground or gazing intensely into the lasers bouncing off the walls.
The video is mostly innocent; just some naked people having fun with lights, a disco ball and presumably copious amounts of drugs. But it is pretty graphic (no shortage of breasts) and just downright squeamish at some points (what is that exactly at 00:56!?).

By now, it really shouldn’t be considered abnormal or even shocking to discover naked girls with neon body paint cavorting around a room in a Flaming Lips video. For their new song with New Fumes, “Girl, You’re So Weird,” that’s exactly what’s going on. Complete with shimmering metallic streamers, black lights and exploding cans of colored smoke, the imagery is contrasted by the wacky Wayne Coyne in a three-piece suit. »

The Flaming Lips had a wild year in 2011 – more wild than usual, that is – releasing new music (often collaborations) every month, concocting a gummy skull with Usb drive brain, and rocking out in California’s historic Hollywood Forever Cemetery for a pair of special performances. And now, the group has packaged some of their collabs into a new album: The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends.
Heady Fwends finds the Flaming Lips hooking up with a diverse group of artists, including Ke$ha, Biz Markie, Chris Martin and Bon Iver, but their new video with electro act New Fumes, “Girl, You're So Weird,” is all anyone is talking about.
The highly Nsfw video, which you can see here, features smoke bombs erupting various colors and a bevy of naked ladies roaming around a dark room lit only by colored lights and a shiny disco ball. You can even »

On Friday, actress Alex Vega (“Spy Kids,” “From Prada to Nada”) tweeted the following to her fans: “Going back to blonde! Ahhh. So weird. Gonna miss my dark hair...But today is a new beginning. Starting fresh.”
After spending hours at an L.A. hair salon on Friday, Alexa sent The Huffington Post an exclusive photo of her new blonde look (see the photo above!) this morning.
While Alexa seemed really excited about dying her hair , not everyone was thrilled about her decision to go from brunette to blonde. One of Alexa's followers (@Jairo_Rockzz on Twitter), had this to say about the change in hair color. “Nooooo! You look prettier and Hotter with dark hair... Well actually you look great being a blond too, but...Idk!” Alexa replied, saying: "lol. Goin back to blonde for a movie."

Hollie Cavanagh has been American Idol’s kept woman of season 11. The 18-year-old first auditioned in Austin last season — anyone else remember the Agonizing Commercial-break Cliffhanger they used to heighten the drama on little Hollie’s near-nervous breakdown and subsequent shot at a second song? It’s one of their favorite tricks! So I was shocked the producers didn’t trot out last year’s footage once the tiny blonde sprite was finally shown tonight. The Voice of Ryan even said “Her Idol journey began in Galveston…”

Thursday's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" gave us some significant forward momentum in terms of the mission to kill Klaus, but also delivered a few blows when it came to various romantic entanglements.
Previously: After the best dinner party ever (my invitation must have been lost in the mail) the Original witch, Esther, woke up... and forgave her son, Klaus, for literally ripping her heart out. Elijah was awesome throughout.
8:00 - Elena and Matt do a little Stroll of Exposition to catch the audience up: Bonnie and Abby are fine after being witch-whammied in a cave. Caroline is coping with her dad being dead, and there are no suspects, except perhaps for the lurker watching them from the supply room where said dad died. Matt remains focused on what's important, here: He still has to wipe down grimy counters at The Grill tomorrow.

When it comes to interviewing people in the film industry, there are a great many unwritten rules if you want to be considered professional: Be reasonably respectful and polite, don’t beg for autographs and don’t dribble on yourself. Beyond that it helps to have some idea what to ask, and it’s certainly considered a bit beyond the pale if you become a dribbling wreck.
As a general rule, I like to think that I stick to these. I certainly try to. Unfortunately, there are times when it’s not that easy, and certainly my recent interview with Miss Piggy was one of those. If you heard our recent round table interview with Piggy, Kermit and director of The Muppets, James Bobin, you’ll realise that even being in the same room is a hilarious and surreal experience. It’s even weirder when it’s just you, a Muppet and a film crew. »

Last year, TeenNick brought back Nickelodeon classics from the '90s for a late night block of programming called "The '90s Are All That" and viewers were ecstatic. For the first time in years, fans of All That, Kenan & Kel, Rugrats, The Secret World of Alex Mack, and Salute Your Shorts could watch reruns on television. It was a dream come true for the young adults who remember a time when the Big Orange Couch was a staple in every Nickelodeon commercial and when kids got slimed daily, not just at the Kids' Choice Awards. Fans flooded to social media shortly after TeenNick announced the new schedule in July, which was no surprise. '90s nostalgia is big online. Numerous Facebook pages and groups exist devoted to the decade and Twitter handles, @The90sLife and @90sgirlproblem, have more than 270,000 followers respectively. The beloved decade is represented well online, however, »
