What a hotchpotch of artists in this line-up! Tears for Fears kicked things off at Mid-day followed by worldwide superstars such as Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton and Plant & Page (on stage together for the first time in a while, I think)down to the likes of Cliff Richard and Status Quo. Enduring memories? - Cliff Richard's Fuchia Pink suite & Eric Clapton's so cool pale pink number; singing along to Hey Jude and call and response with Ray Cooper in Sunshine of Your Love; fortunately having one more dry tee shirt than the two (or three?) rain showers on the day; the Pink Floyd cutting down their projection screen because of the wind, their laser show through the rain and fireworks finale. Rumours of Queen's involvement did not prove true but what a roster and what an experience. I so wish I hadn't mislaid my T shirt for this one.
