User Reviews

Excellent but flawed series
9 February 2006 | by (Valencia, Spain) – See all my reviews

Seven Days was a very good show. The first year or two they managed to keep the emergency situations very creative. By the last year or so they were putting too much humor into the time travel, and some shows seemed to be spoofing themselves. It kind of lost its edge.

The early half of the series was very entertaining and thoughtful. A lot of good writing went into the show. Unfortunately, Frank's character never seemed to grow. He started out as having an anti-social annoying streak, and he often made some comments that made it hard to take his character seriously. There were also times when it seemed like the back-up pilot should have been sent instead of Frank. For some reason the writers seemed to have had a big hang-up about doing that. It was a frequent tease.

The weird relationship between Frank and his team was also a bit irritating. Frank was always being snide, and that got old after a while. His doctor, Olga seemed to like him but she always pushed him away. A lot of the dynamics between the characters seemed forced and did not make sense. But most of this was later on in the last year, when many episodes put more time into relationships and less time into exciting time travel adventures. Overall it was a very good show, too bad that nobody ever got the vibe going in the right direction so that it could have become a hit series.
