With production gearing up to start this spring in Atlanta, the upcoming sequel Escape Plan 2 has added a few new cast members. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 star Dave Bautista has signed on to star alongside Sylvester Stallone in this follow-up to the 2013 action-thriller Escape Plan, which starred Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will reprise his role as Hush from the original movie. And Jaime King will play Abigail Ross. There is still no word yet if Arnold Schwarzenegger, who co-starred with Stallone in the first outing, will return.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the Dave Bautista casting news, with the site comparing Dave Bautista's role to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Rottmayer character from the original. Watch Molly Shannon Strike Her Superstar Pose After Winning Big at the Spirit Awards

25 February 2017 4:25 PM, PST | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Saturday's Spirit Awards were off to a great start thanks to Andy Samberg's hilarious "in memoriam" tribute, but the night got even better when Molly Shannon was named best supporting actress for her role in Other People. Not only was it her first-ever win at the ceremony, but Molly could barely handle her emotions as she made her way to the stage. During her speech, Molly thanked her costars and dedicated her award "to all the moms who would go to the end of the earth for their kids and their families." Still, the best part might have been when she said, "I really truly in this moment feel like a . . . superstar!" and struck her trademark Mary Katherine Gallagher Superstar pose. Honestly, the whole thing is amazing. »

Paramount Pictures has put out offers to Mel Gibson and John Lithgow to star in their upcoming comedy sequel Daddy's Home 2. While nothing is set in stone yet, their prospects for joining this comedy sequel reportedly look "promising." No details have been given about what characters they may portray, but it's possible they could be playing the fathers of Will Ferrell's Brad Whitaker and Mark Wahlberg's Dusty Mayron. That hasn't been confirmed at this time, but it certainly seems plausible. There will be Spoilers below if you haven't seen Daddy's Home yet, so read on at your own risk.

Deadline broke the news earlier today, which comes just as both actors have been recognized on the awards circuit.
