Ghost Bros. Comedy Coming from SNL Creator Lorne Michaels

The Neighbors concept is getting a supernatural twist in the upcoming comedy Ghost Bros. Josh Bycel and Jonathan Fener, best known for their work on the TV sitcom Happy Endings, are responsible for the screenplay. Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels is producing the horror comedy for Paramount under his Broadway Video banner.

Ghost Bros. kicks off in the 80s, and centers on two hapless Fraternity brothers who die inside their fraternity house. They end up sticking around to haunt the present day owners. According to The Tracking Board, Sam Grey is the executive producer for Broadway. Alana Mayo and Gabby Canton are overseeing the project for Paramount.

Molly Shannon Reveals ‘SNL’ Character Mary Katherine Gallagher’s History

Molly Shannon didn’t make it onto “Saturday Night Live” the first time she auditioned, but when she got her chance five years later, she didn’t let it get away. This was one of the many reveals at “An Afternoon With Molly Shannon” held at the Seattle International Film Festival on Sunday.

Shannon was at the festival with two films; “Miles,” which screened earlier in the day, and “Other People,” which screened immediately following the conversation between Shannon and Variety editor Jenelle Riley. “Miles,” in which Shannon plays the mother of a teen boy who joins the girls’ volleyball team in hopes of a scholarship, made its world premiere at Siff. “Other People” premiered at Sundance earlier in the year, where Shannon earned raves as a woman dying of cancer whose son (Jesse Plemons) moves home to care for her.

This time, they've decided on a sequel to Daddy's Home, the hit comedy from last Christmas that managed to survive in the wake of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Today, Paramount Pictures and Gary Sanchez Productions have officially announced that Daddy's Home 2 is happening.

Daddy's Home proved to be a crowd pleasing comedy that perfectly matched nice guy Will Ferrell with cool, tough biker Mark Wahlberg in a battle of wits. The movie pulled in $150.3 million domestically. And it made another $90 million overseas. That brought its worldwide grosses to $240 million, making it a blockbuster hit.
