Hellboy and Liz Sherman kiss at the end scene, as she lights both of them up using her powers.

A man is killed and his body falls onto a pattern etched into the ground. His blood pours through the pattern and pools in the center. Another man rises from this pool.

This movie contains moderate violence including the use of weapons such as guns, knives, swords, grenades, spikes, and blunt objects.

Sci-fi monsters are seen throughout the movie attacking and sometimes eating their victims--however, the camera usually cuts away from the scene.

Blood and gore are frequently displayed, although primarily coming from the sci-fi monsters.

There is a man on an operating table with deep scars across his entire body, and his lower lip is gone. His eyelids are gone as well. We see that the secondary hero is totally bleeding from his face ,and he is lame. The battle between Hellboy and Samael is very violent ,with Hellboy is bleeding.

6 use of crap, 6 use of hell, 6 use of damn, 2 use of ass, 1 use of god damn, 2 incomplete use of son of a bitch.

The plot partly involves a portal, which could be considered a gateway to hell, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering the title of the movie is, "Hellboy."

2 use of Jesus.

A character is seen stealing beer from a couple.

Cigars (and possibly cigarettes) were smoked in scenes by the main character and supporting cast members.

8/10 the film is very but very dark with lots of scary scenes and appearnces.

Near the beginning of the movie. Rasputin is dramatically pulled into the portal when it gets destroyed. With the gate is starting to destroyed ,there is a Nazi soldier that pulled into the portal and his body is erased ,it is very scary.

The sci-fi monsters sometimes appear unexpectedly, and could be considered very frightening.

A building is engulfed in a fire.

A man that is missing his lower lip and deep scars and most parts of his body with no blood or eye lids lies on a table and gets up suddenly and puts a clock mechanism into his chest.

One of the Sammaels is seen eating an agent's head from a distance.

Hellboy breaks into a grave and reanimates a skeleton without legs.

Hellboys father is killed and the aftermath is very depressing. The secondary villain ,Ruprecht is shown without his mechanical armor and mask ,we see his scarred and twisted body also his face ,it is very scary and disgusting. In the end of the final fight scene ,Rasputin is stabbed to death by Hellboy ,with a giant monstrous squid-like creature is comes out of his stomach ,It's very dark scene and much more scary than the other scenes.
