Beijing Film Festival to Screen David Lynch Retrospective

The Beijing International Film Festival has added some iconic art house fare to its lineup.

The government-backed event announced this week that it will screen a special retrospective of the work of David Lynch during its 7th edition, which runs April 16-23 in the Chinese capital.

Lynch films to be included in the program include Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire — none of which were previously exhibited theatrically in the country. New to Hulu in April: ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ ‘The Usual Suspects,’ and Many More Film and TV Titles

Hulu has announced the new titles that will be available to stream on the platform during the month of April. Leading the pack is the new original series “The Handmaid’s Tale,” based on Margaret Atwood’s classic novel of the same name and starring Elisabeth Moss. The series premieres April 26.

Not only is the best actress race extremely competitive this year, but it could also shape up to be one of the oldest collection of talents in Oscar history. Should the stars align correctly, this could be just the second time there have been three or more actresses in the category who were aged 50 or older.
