Storyline

Arun Mathur and his college sweetheart, Lily Fernandes, even though of different faiths, Hindu & Catholic respectively, are thrilled when their parents agree to the marriage. Ruby Fernandes welcomes Arun and encourages him to call her "mommy", while Arun's dad is already making preparations for the marriage. Then the doctor announces that Lily has blood cancer and may not have very long to live. She and her mom not only suppress this news from Arun, but also cancel the engagement ceremony. Arun's dad is shocked when Ruby informs him, and he and the doctor discuss various ways of getting her treated. One of them is to let a doctor from abroad examine Lilly. An Exceptional movie
17 March 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is movie which had good comedy, romance and emotions. This is one of the best Hindi movies. The songs are superb. The story is entertaining & true to life. One can't take anything for granted. Live the moment you have to the fullest extent you never know what will happen next. True to the title song.

I wish Hemlata had gotten more opportunities to sing more songs. The title song is among the top 10 best ever romantic songs.

Though this is a 70's movies, it applies to current times too. It has a light beginning of college life, competition, fights, romance, and a great anti-climax.
