The Ranch: Danny Masterson Responds to Netflix Series Firing

In response to multiple long-brewing sexual assault allegations levied against him, That '70s Show veteran Danny Masterson will be written out of the third season of The Ranch TV show on Netflix. Deadline reports Netflix issued a statement confirming that Masterson's last day on set was yesterday. Production on The Ranch will resume in the new year. As of now, the embattled actor will reportedly appear in those episodes already filmed. Now, the actor says he intends to clear his name of all charges. Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, The Ranch also stars Masterson's former '70s Show colleague, Ashton Kutcher, as well as Sam Elliot, Debra Winger, Grady Lee Richmond, Laura Vallejo, Elisha Cuthbert, Bret Harrison, and Kelli Goss. Set in Garrison, Colorado, this sitcom follows the dysfunctional Bennett family on their Iron River Ranch. Netflix announced its show The Ranch will be continuing without actor Danny Masterson in 2018, Deadline reports. The actor who stars alongside Ashton Kutcher has been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department after at least four women accused him of sexually assault in the early 2000s. The investigation has been ongoing since March.

Danny Masterson Fired From 'The Ranch' Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
Danny Masterson will no longer be a part of Netflix's The Ranch.

In a statement to Et on Tuesday, a Netflix spokesperson revealed that the 41-year-old actor has been written out of the show. The news comes after reports broke in March that Masterson is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department over multiple sexual assault allegations stemming from the early 2000s. Masterson has denied the allegations against him.

“As a result of ongoing discussions, Netflix and the producers have written Danny Masterson out of The Ranch," the statement reads. "Yesterday was his last day on the show, and production will resume in early 2018 without him."

Masterson called the allegations against him "outrageous" in a statement to The Huffington Post.

“I am obviously very disappointed in Netflix’s decision to write my character off of The Ranch," the statement reads. "From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. I have never been

Could a That '70s Show reunion be on the horizon? It looks like that very well may be the case. Wilmer Valderrama, who plays everyone's favorite foreign exchange student, Fez, on the series, recently revealed that a That 70s Movie may be in the cards. Though, nothing is "official" just yet.

The actor was recently a guest on Steve Harvey's talk show. During the conversation, he was asked about some rumors of a reunion or revival of the beloved show, which have been floating around a bit, but there's been nothing solid.
