The series will also feature Remini's mother and stepfather, plus her sister and brother-in-law, whose secret coded language apparently drives the actress bonkers. Fox's comedy pilot "Weird Loners" has one of the standout titles of this development season, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty strong as well.
Becki Newton has signed on to play one of the title characters in the pilot, which comes from writer Michael Weithorn (creator of "The King of Queens") and director Jake Kasdan ("New Girl," "Freaks and Geeks"). It's about four social misfits who form a bond with one another via living in the same townhouse in Queens.
Newton's character, Caryn, is a "high-strung" dental hygienist with a tendency to go all-in on relationships way too quickly. Her co-stars thus far are "Happy Endings" alum Zachary Knighton and Nate Torrence ("Hello Ladies," "Super Fun Night"); the fourth member of the core group has yet to be cast.
With the end of "How I Met Your Mother" getting closer and closer -- the show had a table read for the series finale on Friday (Feb. 14) -- members of its cast are starting to find new jobs.
The latest one to find a new gig is Alyson Hannigan, and she's staying at CBS in a comedy pilot called "More Time with Family." The show stars and was co-created by comedian Tom Papa, who's playing a man who makes a career change in order to have more time with his wife, Cindy (Hannigan), and their kids.
Papa created the show with the husband-and-wife team of Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa ("The King of Queens," "13 Going on 30"). Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are among the show's executive producers, along with the three creators.
Hannigan is the second "Himym" regular to score a lead role in a pilot this week. She follows Cristin Milioti, »

Here's the press release:
New York, NY - February 3, 2014 - TV Land has picked up its hit original series "The Exes" for a 12-episode fourth season, it was announced today by TV Land President, Larry W. Jones. The original programming on TV Land is something of a mixed bag, but it’s an assortment with a common theme, and one that makes a lot of sense. There’s a mid-80s-early-90s throwback feel about all of their shows, though most of them try to give their comedy a nudge into the new era, and The Exes is one of the best examples of the overall attempt.
The ratings have certainly shown that they’ve got their hands on a good theory, and the fact that other networks are kicking out shows that are clearly from the same mold (with some success) further proves that there is a market.
Well, if The Exes is on your list of faves, you’ve got some good news. The show is coming back for at least 12 more episodes.
Catch all the info below, and let me know what you think of the show. »

Former Bourne Matt Damon and future Batman Ben Affleck are set to team up once again, but this time for a multi-cam comedy on CBS. A pilot episode for More Time With Family has already been ordered by the network, and Damon and Affleck will executive produce through Pearl Street Films.
According to Variety, the project stars Tom Papa as a husband and father who makes a career change in order to spend more time with his family.
Papa co-wrote the pilot and worked with Damon in Steven Soderbergh’s The Informant! and Behind the Candelabra. The other writers are Josh Goldsmith (The King of Queens) and his wife/writing partner, Cathy Yuspa (What Women Want).
That’s all we know for now, but a project like this fits in nicely with the type of shows normally produced by CBS. As the network have ordered a “put pilot” (meaning they »
