Erinn Hayes has been liking tweets from viewers expressing their outrage at her character’s sudden departure from the Kevin James-led sitcom.

“My family and I have tuned out,” wrote one Twitter user who received a like from the 41-year-old actress. “If Kevin Can Wait, so can we – for you to have a bigger career than him!!!”

The actor, 52, told the New York Daily News that the decision was not because he or anyone else had a problem with Hayes – it was because they were out of storyline ideas.

Leah Remini Joins Jennifer Lopez in Romantic Comedy ‘Second Act’

STXfilms has signed Leah Remini to join the cast of “Second Act,” the upcoming romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez.

Peter Segal will direct the film, which was developed by Stx with Lopez from an idea conceived by Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Justin Zackham.

Remini currently stars on the CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait,” and recently won her first Emmy for her A&E series, “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. ” The latter show is currently in its second season.

Remini will portray best friend and fellow employee of Lopez’s character  in “Second Act.” The movie is in the vein of “Maid In Manhattan” and “Working Girl.” Lopez will play a big-box store employee who reinvents her life and her lifestyle and gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as a college degree.

‘I Mom So Hard’ Web Series Scores Pilot Production Commitment at CBS

Popular web series “I Mom So Hard” is in development at CBS as a multi-camera comedy, Variety has learned.

The series has landed a pilot production commitment. Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley, who co-created the web series, will star in and co-write the series, which will see the two moms show how their friendship gets them through being wives and mothers. Michelle Nader will also serve as a writer on the series in addition to executive producing. Rob Thomas will executive produce under his Spondoolie Productions banner, with Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge also executive producing. Spondoolie Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Hensley and Smedley are repped by UTA, Management 360, and attorney Matt Feil. Nader is repped by ICM.

Newly minted CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl and programming senior vice president Thom Sherman hit the Television Critics Association press tour stage for the first time in their new jobs, and were met with several questions about why, for the second year in a row, CBS is premiering a new schedule without any female leads.

“We can debate the pace of change,” Kahl said. “But there is change.” Kahl said the number of diverse series regulars on CBS is “up 60 percent, and the number of writers with diverse backgrounds is up.” This season, he noted that two of the network’s new shows include diverse leads, including “S.W.A.T.,” starring Shemar Moore.
