Extremely underrated, as it is very funny, but without lavish production values
millennia-222 April 2000
'Bad Money' is not a great film, it's an average or slightly above average comedy that's neither big or memorable. Still, the producers/director did wonders with a limited budget, and it is at times very funny.

Academy Award winner Graham Greene (Thunderheart, Dances With Wolves) does a very good job, and whoever wrote the script also deserves credit.

The plot is original and the quirky characters, especially Graham Greene's extremely annoying wife, are hilarious. The climax leaves something to be desired, as it is quite non-Hollywood, but doesn't quite succeed on all levels.

A film that laughs in the face of financial ruin
THX-413 November 1999
Clever, biting comedy about the lengths average people go to to preserve their wealth and power. Even an ardent vegetarian isn't above butchering cute bunny rabbits to prop up her ailing restaurant. A must-see for anyone who is in need of a laugh!
