Storyline

It's the year 2484 and the Earth is threatened by a rogue comet which could fatally change its orbit. The solution is surprising - Adam Bernau, the greatest genius of 20th century developed 500 years ago an ingenious formula for easy transporting of continents and even worlds. Unfortunately, he made this discovery at the age of 11 and the exercise book containing it was destroyed in the fire. But this is not a challenge to Academic Filip who decides to send an expedition back in time to retrieve the precious exercise book from the fire. But everything is not so simple as it seems... Trivia

There was a real historian named Filip and his widow claimed the series was making fun of him, despite both writer and director claiming they never knew about his existence. The widow went to court and won. The production had to change the name of the character - in the series that had already been aired. For re-runs, they did it with blunt re-dubbing of every word "Filip" with "Richard", making it very obvious. See more »

THE TV series for kids. And not only kids...
2 December 2001 | by See all my reviews

This series, together with the Arabella, made by the same crew, are the most entertaining, funny, witty, you name it. Unfortunately, I haven't seen since anything that would equal these, not to say top them. Now, that I have access to all kinds of TV stations, all I can see are some absolutely dumb (mainly) american series. Stuff that I wouldn't let my kids watch for anything in the world. Maybe there are some worth watching, but I haven't seen or heard of them yet.
