Satirical news with some sketch comedy

"This Hour" features the talent of four great Canadian Comedians in a satirical examination of national and international news. Included are several "interviews" with the stars playing one of many recurring or one-time characters. The characters each exemplify certain stereotypes, like Maritimers, Rich People, and other things we like to laugh at. Rick Mercer, probably to be considered the "star" of the show, has a rant each episode, often about the Canadian Government or banks. That's usually the highlight of the show, though the performances of the other comedians is nothing to be scoffed at. This Hour is a great example of Canadian Comedy.
