A fabulous woman recreated horribly
5 April 2000 | by (California) – See all my reviews

The Audrey Hepburn Story is so depressing and shameful that no matter how devout an Audrey fan you are, you just can't bring yourself to watch it. As I tried to watch Jennifer "Love" attempt to imitate the marvelous, beautiful, intelligent, and glorious Audrey Hepburn I felt like crying. Not only was Hewitt pathetic as Audrey, but the story lagged and dragged. It wouldn't have if they had found an actress who could not just attempt to look, and some what sound like Audrey, but someone who could BE Audrey. Someone who could light up the screen and the heart with the brilliant charisma that Hepburn possessed (and always will). Without an actress the whole thing is nothing but a chain of references to the late and great Audrey Hepburn, the likes of whom we won't likely see again.
