There were a few changes made between the pilot and the rest of the series: Walter Brown replaced Joe McCormick in the lead role, and the family's surname was changed. Leoni Lesinawi played a Fijian policeman, before being cast as a crewman. The original series title was changed from "The Cruise Of The Seaspray" to the more familiar "Adventures".

i am a big fan of Seaspray as a child of the 1960's favorite

Seaspray was my favorite ABC TV program as a child growing up in the 60's and 70's it was a focal point of our after school pastime and the class would talk about it the next day at school . This ABC film deserves a place in the house of fame because of its high quality and it adapts for the family and children alike .Seaspray tells the story of an adventure that every school boy and girl dream about . It is exciting to know now that beautiful Schooner Seaspray is still afloat in Fiji and living out a life on the water . I read recently that the Skipper Dan has now passed on of course a popular famous face of television films of the period right up to today , God rest his soul . amen If anyone can let me know how to get a video or DVD of Seaspray then please contact me on [e-mail]
