Goofs

The game features the TIE Interceptor prominently in early missions and also depicts several TIE Advanced fighters attacking the player at the Battle of Yavin. In Star Wars canon, the TIE Interceptor was a prototype designed after Yavin, specifically to deal with Rebel starfighter attacks on larger ships and stations like the Death Star, while the TIE Advanced was Darth Vader's personal unique ship and was not mass produced until well after the events shown in the Star Wars film. Piloting an X wing is a dream come true
22 October 1999 | by (usa) – See all my reviews

Ever since I was a youngster, I've dreamed of piloting an X Wing, and destroying Imperial space craft. When X Wing hit the PC, that dream came true. It's so much fun battling it out with enemy tie fighters and imperial star destroyers. But, they should've put a warning on this game; WARNING THIS GAME IS ADDICTIVE! X Wing is one of the best PC games of all time.
