Mystery-comedy combo as hero is framed
29 March 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Not bad little romp in which Griffith Jones, an insurance investigator, gets in hot water after being lured into a murder frame by seductive Zena Marshall. For starters, check out her facial profile to see what I mean as she waits to pick up Griffith as her prey.

Lovely Hazel Court is Jones' new boss and it's love at first sight as they team up to get Jones out of the jam and find the real culprits.

It's all done in a jocular vein mixed in with moments of tension, within the sub-genre of man-woman comedy-mystery films. This one lacks what it takes to be a film noir, but is an easy way to pass an hour involved in a story that, on its face, might have been told in a noir style but wasn't.
