Image of an organism
22 April 2007 | by (Romania) – See all my reviews

Vision about Soviet realities.

Touching drama about hope, love and expectations, about ways and sacrifices, about illusion as form of survive, about lies and ambiguous success.

A mother, her six sons, a children band and temptation to escape beyond the Soviet Union. Failure, some years in jail, and, after a time, the meeting of family .

Questions, pains of soul, memories and different lives, searches of life sense and shadows of present.

Slices of guilt, the mother as axis of past and present, as root of sons lives and instrument of strange filling.

The image of family like an organism. A breath, an emotion, same perception of reality. The salvation of ill brother, the projects for future, the rumors, the quarrels and the presence of mother as heart of organism, like supreme authority of destinies and time.

Images of Russian soul, with traces of soul tempest, subtle angst, hours like resin trickle.

A film about don quixotic gesture and final peace. About senses of moments and the importance of love.
