"Das magische Band" is a West German 20-minute movie from 1960, so it had its 55th anniversary last year. It is in color and was directed and co-written by Ferdinand Khittl. Many people today, also here in Germany, will not know the name anymore today, but he was fairly successful back in the day, even if he mostly restricted himself to short films and not full feature films. In this one here, he gives us his take on a lot of acoustics-related stuff. It's partially interesting, but also very boring on other occasions. Some of the stuff is easy to understand while other segments are so specific that I'd expect to listen stuff like that at a university. Overall, I think Khittl's work is not too easy to find access to from what I have seen from him so far and while I would not say this is his worst work, I still give it a thumbs-down and don't recommend the watch, not even to Blacky Fuchsberger fans really.
