A decidedly odd couple with ulterior motives convince Dr. Alan Grant to go to Isla Sorna (the second InGen dinosaur lab.), resulting in an unexpected landing...and unexpected new inhabitants on the island.
A new theme park is built on the original site of Jurassic Park. Everything is going well until the park's newest attraction - a genetically modified giant stealth killing machine - escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.

Dr. Alan Grant is now a happy man with the previous incidents of Jurassic Park now behind him. Grant is that happy that he announce in public, that nothing on Earth can persuade him back onto the islands. Maybe nothing, except Paul Kirby. Kirby and his wife, Amanda want a plane to fly them over Isla Sorna, with Dr. Grant as their guide. But not everything Kirby says is true. When the plane lands, Dr. Grant realizes that there is another reason why they are there, that he doesn't know of. Now, Dr. Grant is stuck on an island he has never been on before, with what was a plane journey now turned into a search party. Written by
The second script involved a Pteranodon escaping from Isla Sorna and causing a string of mysterious killings on the mainland, which was to be investigated by Dr. Alan Grant and other characters. The project was green-lit but, five weeks before shooting began, the entire script was rejected by Steven Spielberg and Joe Johnston; Johnston felt that the story was too complicated. By that time, $18 million were already spent on the project. See more »
The Kirbys' camcorder is a Panasonic Digital "Palmcorder" (a PV-DV910 or similar), as evidenced by the distinctive zoom buttons, tape window, and connector for a light. It is a MiniDV (digital) camcorder, yet when Grant, Udesky, and the Kirbys play the tape that Eric and Ben shot, there are analog tape artifacts, most notably the static that appears during cuts and at the end of the tape. Static wouldn't appear on a MiniDV recording, and neither would analog tape artifacts (unless that is exactly what was recorded, which is highly unlikely with a working camcorder). The cuts would either be seamless (or the screen would turn blue), and at the end of the tape, the screen would turn blue, possibly preceded by a few milliseconds of a still of the last frame recorded. This is a common error in movies when digital camcorder footage is played. See more »

If you ever want your childhood crushed then just watch this movie
I am just going to quote Devindra on the /filmcast and what he said about this movie "Seeing Jurassic Park 3 made me realize how dreams could be shattered"
This just sums up the whole movie. People exaggerate how bad the Phantom Menace is but this movie is impossible to exaggerate how horrible it was. The original Jurassic Park was pure gold, the second was not a good sequel but an OK movie but this movie will rape your childhood up the ass till you cry.
Please no matter how interested you are in returning to Jurassic park...DON'T. This film does not even take place in Jurassic Park and the only thing really connecting it to the original is Sam Neal and that is it.
