The diary of a seventeen year-old Sicilian girl, Rita Atria.
This brave person sacrificed her life in order to put those scum sucking thugs behind bars and I'm talking about the Mafia who rule by threat. Being Sicilian I felt for poor Rita and I'm sure everyone else did. In my experience, the Mafia always had that charming front but behind their backs layed a trial of corpses. Filmmaker Marco Amenta mixes interviews, readings from Rita's diary and the songs of a story teller to create this interesting piece.
