Typically good quality writing from those years...and less explosions!

As far as I have been able to discover there are 10 episodes remaining from all 3 seasons. They are absolutely typical of the style of police dramas done in those years....decidedly not exciting in the style of today but FAR more realistic. It features cops that are stupid, ambitious, sneaky and just plain good and it makes for a VERY entertaining view. I much prefer this slow-as-she-goes type of police drama with less emphasis on the who as the why....the police actually know the criminals as it's a small place is Hunters Walk, and they abide and respect each other in a normal way in those years. Not that there isn't serious crime or ambitious or just plain nutty ones but every episode is a new adventure...unlike today's cop shows where the conflicts are pretty stereotyped and highly technical. Very much enjoyed it and if old style Dock Green policing is what you like...you'll like this

No classic and it would help if more episodes existed.
"Hunter's Walk" suffers from having most of its episodes missing from the archives. In all honesty, it is just as well because this isn't a very good series. Why it had to be filmed in black and white I shall never know. One of the few good episodes that exists, is the one where there is a hostage situation but that's about it.
