Storyline

While driving through the countryside late at night, Dr. Benson finds a crashed car with a young woman hanging out of it. The doctor puts the girl in his car and drives for help to the nearest house, which turns out to be a mysterious castle. He is greeted at the door by a woman who looks exactly like the woman from the car, and she invites them both to stay for the night. The doctor soon discovers that his host is not the only one in the castle, and that this beautiful woman is concealing a terrifying secret. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>

Goofs

In the opening scene, before the credits, Susan/Evelyn is running nearly naked through the woods. As she is bouncing up and down just after emerging through the trees, you can clearly see that she is wearing panties. In the next cut (when either the camera is tilted 90º or she is running down a wall), she is clearly not. See more »

A doctor and the Devil battle for the soul of a beautiful woman
8 February 2006 | by (Boise, ID) – See all my reviews

I don't agree with those who say this film is just another sleaz-fest. Is it Exploitation cinema? Heck yes! But like many films of that sort, there is more to it than just showing a beautiful woman's bare bodkin. There is interesting cinematography and actual honest to goodness character development. I'm not saying there was a crime committed by shutting this film out of the Oscars, but I think it's a good film.

The lovely Rita Calderoni does a good job in her double role as Good Susan/Bad Evelyn and thank God we get to see her without being bludgeoned or maimed (al la Delerium). This is perhaps the best and most inspired work of director Batzella and is a must see for all fans of the genre.
