"you big scouse git!"
12 February 2003 | by (manchester, england) – See all my reviews

a marvellously politically incorrect sitcom from way back when which was centred around self opinionated moron alf garnett who'd continually bad mouth all and sundry to his long sufferring mrs. ("you silly moo!"), his daughter (squeky voiced una stubbs) and son in law tony booth (tony blair's real life father in law). warren mitchell is hilariously on the mark in the lead which was well written by the late, sadly missed johnny speight who are both ably supported by very funny support from alfie bass and patricia hayes as his neighbours. 'archie bunker' was a poor and inferior yank version which was methinks a pale imitation as much as i liked carroll o' connor. do yourself a favor and watch this instead, it's well funny!
