Information, 6 November 2006
Author: Jay Haywood from United Kingdom

I would like to point out that there were only 2 series, not 3. The first series is the one from 1983 (Retirement, Repentence etc.) and the second/ last series is the one from 1984 (Marching Orders, Just A Song At Twilight etc.). Both Series had 7 episodes. The 1981 series was never made.

The eighth episode of the 1984 series - A Goose For Mrs. Scratchit - is not on the DVD/ VHS, suggesting that it was, perhaps, a Christmas special.

Rosemund Greenwood starred in the first series only (1983), and David Daker in the second (1984). Garfield Morgan was in select episodes of series two.

Dame Thora Hird and Patsy Rowlands were in every episode of every series.
