Trivia

Donzaleigh Abernathy, who plays Sara Jackson (the wife of a civil rights activist), is the daughter of Rev. Ralph Abernathy, one of the key figures of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. The SCLC was the keynote organization behind the actual Civil Rights movement.
The Paid Our Dues Productions logo featured in the closing credits shows a bartender removing an empty mug from on top of a coaster that has the production company's logo on it. The drinker drops money onto the bar to pay for the drink: a quarter, one dime, two nickels, and two pennies for a total of forty-seven cents.
