Michelle Pfeiffer will star alongside Paul Rudd in “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Marvel revealed during its San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday.

The Oscar-nominee will play Janet Van Dyne, mother of Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne and wife of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym. It’s not Pfeiffer’s first brush with comic book fandom, though it is her first time in a Marvel movie. She previously starred in 1992’s “Batman Returns,” injecting some sizzle into the part of Catwoman.

No official plot details have been released yet, but with the arrival of this new poster, we could be getting the trailer and official synopsis in the near future. Most recently, he made Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard-starrer Allied, and has made such films as Cast Away, The Walk, Romancing the Stone and What Lies Beneath.

The film has had a checkered production history so far: Originally it was set to be made by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (The Lego Movie) but »
