A variance on the "Sliding Doors" tale with Gwyneth Paltrow, "Passion" goes beyond the "what ifs." Set in both New York and Paris, Demi Moore portrays a woman who is caught between lives--or is she? Is it all a dream, or does she live in two completely different worlds, 3000 miles apart from one another? This psychological romantic thriller is not about car chases, or exploding bombs, or psycho killers...but more about the power of the mind. A little slow to start, the movie picks up towards the middle and has some moments that tug at heart-strings. Good romantic movie, maybe a tear-jerker, and a surprise ending. Recommended to be seen in the theaters, if only for the spectacular cinematography...otherwise, wait until it's on tape. Overall, a good effort on Demi's part.
