Because of the film's shooting schedule, many action sequences and scenes in the film were shot by the film's Second Unit, including much of the car sequence where Wesley Snipes escapes the clutches of the Asian gang that kidnapped him early that morning.
When Wesley Snipes' character gets on the red bike and rides off, the camera cranes down to a newspaper and focuses on a particular headline as the pages flip in the wind. The stunt man that was riding on the bike crashed just as the camera panned down to the newspaper. It was a bike that had been carefully transported from Virginia and of which only 20-some had been imported.
The nice blue glow that lights the final confrontation between Wesley Snipes' character and his ex-partner was achieved by shining a light into a pool of water that had a mirror at the bottom.
