Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

The Queen of Trash wears a skimpy costume.

Elmo's bare butt is shown throughout the entire film.

Violence & Gore

A giant chicken tries to eat Elmo. But anytime things get scary or the outcome seems uncertain, Burt and Ernie interrupt the movie to tell the kid's something bad will happen

A mutant chicken Eats Elmo in a dream. Some Green Slime is shown.

Several characters say "Gee." Elmo gets mad and tells Zoe, "You're not my friend anymore." Grouchland is truly the "stinkiest" place on earth with its residents producing many burping and flatulent noises. One of the Stenchmen says, "Your tushy bone is crushing my skull." And the audience is encouraged to make "raspberry" noises to help Elmo get away from the Queen of Trash.

In the backround of one scene, you can see a muppet sticking up the middle finger. This was probably a goof done by the pupeteers, and is bearly visible.

We hear the thumping of giant footsteps on the ground (and see it shake) after Huxley releases a creature to take care of Elmo (that causes other characters to run away in fright). It turns out to be a huge chicken that then tries to peck at Elmo on the ground (but in a standard, chicken-like way). After Elmo convinces the chicken that he's not a worm (the reason for the pecking), the fowl sends Elmo flying through the air where he lands in a tree and briefly hangs from a branch high above the ground.

Over all Explicitness: 7/50
