Actress Alyssa Milano has confronted an online impostor who was pretending to be her on social networking site Twitter.com.

The Charmed star, who has over 400,000 followers on her page, confronted a person holding a fake account who was posting messages under a name similar to her official blog.

Milano wrote, "Maybe Alyssa_Milano would like to tell us all why she is pretending to be me.”

Following the actress' post, the impostor's account was suspended, and a brief message on the fake's page now reads, "Sorry, the profile you were trying to view has been suspended due to strange activity.” »

Nick Lachey, the former member of 98 Degrees, will add a new title to his name, a host. People reported that 37-year-old singer has been assigned by NBC to host a new reality TV singing competition, "The Sing-Off," next December.

About the show that will center on the competition of eight a cappella singing groups, the boyfriend of Vanessa Minnillo told People, "There is nowhere to hide when you're doing an a cappella song. There's no band behind you and dubbing." He continued, "It's just you. It's just them naked on stage and what they have done to prepare is what will show in that moment."

"The Sing-Off" itself will be premiered on December 14 and will follow the singing groups as they battle for an Epic Records/Sony Recording contract. In the show, the contestants are not allowed to use any instrument but their voices. Back in September, auditions for the »

Michael Jackson's Run In With Tyrese Gibson And The Real 'Spider-Man 4' Villain In Today's Twitter-Wood

28 October 2009 7:43 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

The Twitter-Wood feed assembled after the jump is the fine work of Mr. Brian Warmoth, but he seems to have disappeared before finishing the evening's intro bump. So you're stuck with me, @geminibros, your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog editor.

I may not have Brian's panache, but I can still fill you in on what's shaking in the Twitter-Wood today. Rob Zombie just wrapped up the audio commentary for the director's cut of "Halloween II," "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton decided on his Halloween costume -- I wholeheartedly approve -- and "Shaun of the Dead" writer/director Edgar Wright saw the Coen brothers' new one, "A Serious Man." I wholeheartedly approve of that as well. Meanwhile, Brian Lynch has the real scoop on the next "Spider-Man" villain and Sarah Silverman shares a downright baffling twitpic. Also, Tyrese Gibson shares his very special moment with Michael Jackson, clinching himself the top »

A former staffer on the "Late Show With David Letterman" admits she left her job after less than a year because of the "sexual politics" played out in the hostile work environment.

"Did I believe these female staffers were benefiting professionally from their personal relationships? Yes. Did that make me feel demeaned? Completely," Nell Scovell writes on VanityFair.com. Last month, an extortion plot forced Letterman to admit on-air that he has had sex with women who work for him. »

15 October 2009 8:09 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

As the search for Falcon Heene, the six-year-old boy feared to have been trapped in a runaway Colorado balloon, continues today, the story has more or less less consumed the Twittersphere. Twitter-Wood hasn't been immune to that effect with Alyssa Milano, Simon Pegg and plenty of others posting about the unresolved scenario.

On the flipside of the Twitterverse, cast members of "New Moon" have been swapping tweets in anticipation of the movie's scene screenings at next week's Rome Film Festival. Check out who's been talking to whom, along with Rainn Wilson's new wolf T-shirt, Tom Felton's metal T-shirt and what's been going on in Diablo Cody's dreams. It's all after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for October 15, 2009.

15 October 2009 4:21 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

We finally got to see some spells being slung in the town of Eastwick last night and some shockers that I swear I did not see coming. The episode picked up nanoseconds after last week’s episode ended, so let’s jump right into it.

Know Your Neighbors

After having another premonition about Jamie (guest star Jack Huston) spying on her at the Lennox Mansion, Roxie awakes to Jamie entering her shop bearing an apple as a gift. Roxie doesn’t take the apple out of fear of what Jamie might had put in it. While at the Lennox Mansion, Roxie gets a little déjà vu when Darryl says the same thing he said in her premonition. She looks outside, but sees no Jamie. She immediately thinks that her psychic powers are on the fritz. Darryl suggests that she gets some knowledge instead of living in ignorance. Darryl rocks, even »

Faithless: Book One of the Alyce Kerr, Faith Healer Trilogy

Someone forgot to tell the heroine of Yolanda Sfetsos' new horror novella Faithless, Alyce Kerr, that the road to the New Age success story is one that’s always been paved with bad intentions. It is clear from the outset that the character has never rented out The Craft or seen an episode of Buffy which features Willow...

First and foremost: Any reader who does take a gander at this will wonder if the writer broke into Aaron Spelling’s bedroom and ransacked his depository of early drafts of Charmed scripts. So if that show tickled your fancy places, you’re in for a treat. If not, well this is best avoided.

Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez Said Calling Off Engagement

29 September 2009 9:34 PM, PDT | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Rumor has it, Rose McGowan, who got public attention after starring as Paige Matthews on "Charmed", has broken off her engagement to filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. Unfortunately, as of the press time, representatives for both "The Black Dahlia" actress and Robert have yet to confirm or deny the report, Radar Online claimed.

Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez's first meeting was on the set of "Planet Terror" in 2006, during when she starred as a stripper with a machine-gun leg, while he became the helmer of the project. Both of them made their first public appearance as a couple at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2007. Then, in October the same year, Rose and Robert officially announced their engagement.

At that time, there was speculation that Robert got divorced from his wife of 16 years Elizabeth Avellan because of Rose. However, he soon turned down the news, claiming he and Elizabeth actually had »

ABC Looks Into Pilots For Hopscotch And Friends With Benefits

24 September 2009 10:54 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Sometimes it feels like I open ABC’s home page, and there’s a new show there to greet me, or more often than not, two. Well, now there are two new shows, and they’re not “Defying Gravity” or “Flash Forward.” Variety reports that ABC is toying around with pilots for Jerry Bruckheimer’s drama “Hopscotch” and David Dobkins (”Wedding Crashers”) comedy “Friends With Benefits.” More on the two shows and the various names attached to them after the jump.

First, “v.” Bruckheimer’s “high-concept police procedural” is being penned by Chris Levinson, best known for his work on “Charmed” and various iterations of “Law and Order.” I happen to have a lot of faith in Levinson’s ability to craft a smart, edgy story, I’m just not sure I can get behind another cop drama. ABC wouldn’t have greenlit it if there wasn’t some interesting catch, »

Two New Clips from ABC’s ‘Eastwick’

23 September 2009 8:30 AM, PDT | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

Tonight marks a big night for ABC as the pilots for three new shows are on the menu. Between Modern Family, Cougar Town, and Eastwick, we can tell you which one we here at The Flickcast are most excited about.

Eastwick is essentially a episodic reboot of the John Updike novel, but better known as the 1987 film starring Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Cher about a coven of witches that unknowingly summon The Devil to their small town and individually become seduced by him.

Same premise here, but instead we get Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price (Lipstick Jungle), and Jamie Ray Newman (Eureka) with newcomer Paul Gross (Due South) as the three witches and The Devil, a.k.a. Darryl Van Horne. Overall, the show looks to be a fresh mix of both Desperate Housewives and Charmed.

Check out two brand new clips from tonight’s series premiere. In the first clip, »

School is back in session. Leaves are turning colors. Old shows are coming out of hibernation and new shows are getting their chance on the boob tube. Television is the hot place to be now, with celebrity guest appearances and television shows everywhere. Movie stars? What's that? And while I've long believed that Television is continuing to move closer and closer to another golden era (despite what VH1 and reality television may force you to think), we won't know until we watch.

Without further ado, I present to you a listing of Fall 2009 Television Premieres, with a couple of must sees (Squees!) and must misses (Mehs!). Please note that some premieres are listed that have already passed—I've left them on the list as a reference point for when that show will air and what channel it will be on.

Aaron Spelling: God of guilty-pleasure TV

This week, EW University takes a look at the people who helped shape the modern TV landscape.  Our first class on TV Auteurs takes a look at the illustrious, often licentious oeuvre of Aaron Spelling. Class is now in session! Yes, kids, the late Aaron Spelling gave television more than the future star of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.  Far, far more, in fact. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Spelling holds the record for the most executive producer credits: 218. That alone, of course, does not an auteur make, but from The Mod Squad to Charlie’s Angels, from Beverly Hills, 90210, to Charmed, a distinct and almost incomprehensibly influential vision emerged. Spelling practically invented the modern TV guilty indulgence, a formula tougher to execute than it looks. When you're watching Burn Notice or Gossip Girl or Desperate Housewives and that "zap" hits the pleasure center of your brain, »
