The title sums up this show- it is stupid. But it also manages to be very funny. The brilliant minds of Jane Turner, Gina Riley, Magda Szubanski and Marg Downey merge to produce some of their funniest stuff here. Following on from the success of Fast Forward and Big Girl's Blouse, the sketches are streamlined, fast paced and very amusing. As with Big Girl's Blouse, Kath & Kim return along with a host of their other well known characters- Prude & Trude, Shirley & Bevan (Jane Turner & Glenn Robbins' original bad dancers) the football socialites Donna Simone & Mandy, and a host of fresh faces.
Highlights include "The Poonce Institute"- a mixture of Beverly Hills 90210 & other atrocious day time soap operas; "Trainspotting" as performed by the local senior citizens theater group; "Josephine and Julianne's Modelling Agency"; "Cassatta & Chantelle's Salon"; a multitude of Gina Riley's music video parodies from Madonna to Billy Joel and various Current Affair-style programs which mock people who have fallen victim to ridiculously obvious scams.
This was sadly a short lived series but remains one of their funniest.
