Storyline

"On the Edge" is reminder that Western civilization can't continue with business as usual. Every 12 hours, the world population increases by 100,000 people. There is no more land to grow food-all the arable land is already in production-and the amount of seafood per capita is shrinking. Everywhere people are running out of freshwater, which means that the wars in the latter part of this century will be fought over food shortages. Written by Douglas Gillies
