Unusual and very cheap quota quickie

This film is set in a tavern in Southwark in 1606.William Shakespeare is sitting at a table drinking a beer.He looks at some of the other customers and this reminds of scenes from his works. So he visualizes scenes from Hamlet,Romeo and Juliet and the Merchant of Venice.Much of the cast I did not recognise. However there is Dennis Joey who would be Inspector Lestrade to Rathbones Holmes.Derrick de Marney who appear in many crime films of the fifties, and Leo Genn who would have major roles in the forties and fifties. This is a very cheap production, particularly given the fact that no copyright fees had to be paid for Shakespeares plays.
