The culmination of eight seasons ends tonight with a one-hour series finale. Will Will and Grace raise a child together and find ultimate happiness? Will Jack find anyone that loves him as much as he loves himself? Will...
"When Jack convinces tangle-footed Will to join him on a gay soccer team, Will's inept playing leaves him warming the bench - which allows him to bond with the teenaged Elliot, who also is the last man called upon with his own youth soccer team. Will and Jack are trying to teach gayness to Barry, because Karen is giving them $20,000 for it. Leo has an announcement: he has to leave for Africa because he belongs to Doctors without Borders. Later, in order to make Barry feel more at ease in a gay bar, Will recounts his first time in a gay bar, in the 1980s.
Barry goes on a date with Jack. Will is jealous and intrudes on their date. At Karen's hotel, her maid quits, and Karen puts on her apron just to show that she can manage without her. Then Karen just happens to bump into a handsome maintenance man who mistakes her for a maid. Smitten, Karen switches roles with her maid in order to get to know the man. When Grace doesn't hear from her for three days, she goes to see what's going on and ends up advising Karen with her dilemma.
Will, Karen and Will's boss Mr. Stein (Gene Wilder) form an anti-romance club thanks to Will and his recent break-up with Barry. The three hold two meetings claiming that "love stinks" until Karen and Mr. Stein form a budding relationship. The two carry on having sex and dating behind Will's back not wanting to hurt him. Will breaks up the club after he finds out claiming that "If you're going to form a club for people who are alone and bitter, you have to at least stay bitter."Meanwhile, Grace decides to make a sexy video for Leo who is away in Africa. Jack wakes up ...
Grace's birthday is coming up and as the best surprise ever for Grace, who loves surprises, Will has flown Leo from Africa... and forgotten to factor in the time differential into the travel time. So Leo arrives one day early and Will has to hide him while Karen and Jack are tasked to keep Grace away from the apartment. Can they do that? Well, they are Karen and Jack.
Stan dies. Everyone goes to the funeral. Karen runs into Stan's mistress, Lorraine. Karen asks Will what did Stan leave her, he tells that Stan made some new changes in his will before his death. Karen fears that Stan is leaving his estate to Lorraine. When there's a heated exchange between the women, Karen tells Will to send for the will. And when it arrives, Will reads it and it's very long.
Grace has promised to go to Guatemala with Leo, but when Karen invites Will & Jack for a long cruise, she breaks down and Leo releases her from her promise. Grace then decides to join the others on their cruise. But then Leo's partner, Dr. Morty stops by. And it just happens to be that Dr. Morty is actually a stunning, busty blonde. And she's going to be working at the same place as Leo... Can Grace make herself trust Leo?
Will and Jack wake up in the same bed on the boat... and panic. Grace is already panicking because Leo forgot a bag on the boat and she found Dr. Morty's love letter addressed to him. But before Grace can head to Guatemala to stop Dr. Morty, she discovers that Leo's passport is in the bag too and Leo has to return to get it. But what should Grace do with the letter?
Grace and Leo are having a dinner party to which Grace invites Will, Jack and Karen. And Leo's just bumped into his ex, Diane, and invited her too. Grace assures Will, Jack and Karen, that there is no drama forthcoming. None whatsoever. Absolutely not. Unless it turns out that Diane is a secret from someone's past.
Karen has invited Grace to the country club to play tennis. Will is going to Connecticut to see his mother and is taking Jack along for company. When Grace brings Leo along, Karen says she intended to play one-on-one with Grace. Karen has to accept a surprise partner for a doubles play. Tensions rise and Karen ends up revealing her true opinion about Leo.
Jack walks into Will and Grace's apartment, all full of himself and announces he has a part on a off-Broadway play opposite James Earl Jones. There's just one detail Jack forgets to mention to Will & Grace... Will's mother living under his roof is starting to get on his nerves. Grace wants to tone up because Leo's sex drive has increased.
When Leo's depressed about leaving Doctors Without Borders, Will tries to cheer him up. But it only makes him miss it more. And Jack decides to get ready for a Gay Spelling Bee and is being prepped by Karen.
Grace is abroad with Leo. Will has to take care of his injured mother and while in the park, they meet a man called Tom who also has to take care of his mother. Tom and Will hit it off, but the thing is, Tom really likes taking care of his mother, so Will has to fake that he too likes taking care of his mother in order not to drive him away. Karen is on the trail of Lorraine Finster and has tracked her to a hotel, but finds that the L. Finster who has checked in is actually her father Lyle.
Karen has to go have herself examined at a doctor and is scared to death. Will and Jack accompany her. Karen's fears are not diminished by the fact that the doctor is... slightly eccentric. Jack sees a good-looking male nurse and instantly decides to change from studying acting to studying nursing. And to do that he needs money from Will and Karen.
When Grace (Debra Messing) returns back to New York for her mother's birthday, Will (Eric McCormack) tries to coerce her into staying in town a bit longer so the two can spend some quality time together.
Will, Grace, Karen & Jack go to a restaurant to celebrate Jack's new start in studying nursing. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with their table reservation and things are only going to get worse.
It's Christmastime. Will is the first one in line for Barry Manilow concert, to the disappointment of the girl who arrives second. Turns out that they know each other through a Barry Manilow chat site. Grace happens to walk by and takes Will's place in the line while he goes to relieve himself. Then Grace spots her mother across the street, having dinner with Jack, even though she had said to Grace she wasn't coming to town.
