During a taping of one episode, Christina Applegate was surprisingly reunited on-set with one of her Married with Children (1987) co-stars. As part of her script in this episode, she rings the doorbell. But to her surprise, Ed O'Neill answered the door and said, "Where have you been, young lady?" Applegate responded with a dropped jaw, tears of joy, and a big hug. See more »
Mom and Diego are doing sex aren't they?
Do you know what sex is?
My friend told me that it's when the woman crawls up into the man's butt and falls asleep
Yep, yep that's exactly what it is.
[Silent John taps him and shakes his head]
It's not? Then what is it?
[Silent John points to Darren to explain it]
Oh, come on!

This show wasn't bad. It was a cute little show about a single mother played by the formerly super popular Christina Applegate (Married With Children!). The main reason the show failed was not that it was cheesy, all sitcoms are cheesy, its just that people can't accept Christina Applegate without a flimsy top, as Kelly Bundy or some other blonde airhead. She chose the wrong time to grow up and become elegant. Make a Married With Children spin off and that would be the show but since Chris is so typecast all shows she does like this, no matter how good will fail. The first season is GREAT, second is okay but ends in a never resolved cliffhanger!
