  • Factual errors: Angela Beale is said to "be licensed to have a gun". In 1998, the state of California did not require that gun owners be licensed. A permit must be obtained to carry a concealed weapon and assault weapons must be registered, but no other licenses need be obtained.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): The pro-gun group's spokesman praises the "4th Amendment" as protecting Beale's right to own a gun. The right to keep and bear arms is protected by the 2nd Amendment (the 4th amendment provides protection against unreasonable searches).
