This film is lost for a good reason!

We just tried to watch a 16mm print of SKELETON KEY that we have in our film collection. It was unbearable! I wouldn't even know how to categorize it, not horror, kind of a mystery, kind of social commentary, but beyond bad! The only reference to a Skeleton Key in the film is a skeleton that's found during an excavation. The "star" is an Archie (from the comic books) lookalike with a speech impediment. Sure it's a slice of Buffalo NY circa 1977, but NOTHING HAPPENS and it's hella looong! We stopped watching the film after two reels, it was just too boring and going no where! I'm thinking this must have been a vanity project that got little to no distribution.
