Tries to be thought-provoking, but ultimately pointless
21 February 2001 | by See all my reviews

"Permission" has promise, but proves to be ultimately pointless and disappointingly unfulfilling in the end. Performances of actors are level throughout and satisfactory, yet this short is full of disconnected threads and unrelated concepts without any linkage, we're no further along in insight or thought provocation than before viewing the film. A project that had promise, but it's almost as if the writer or director didn't quite know what to do with the material once he had it.
