hot babes provide tiring viewing in lacklustre film
24 October 2012 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

Here's another sex flick from the Roadshow Vibrant Video collection. Sadly this 73 minute outing is mostly a series of sustained sex scenes about a couple of desirable and bored housewives. When I say bored, I mean sexually unfulfilled with their husbands who work together in real estate. So when their hubby's are at work, they freelance as escorts, using this crummy motel as a base. Meanwhile their hubbys take overly long lunches going to a strip bar, then after... yes that same crummy motel, both unawares that they're doing it with each other's wife. See, the husbands have never introduced their wives to one another which comes as a killer punchline at the end, though you might be quite exhausted after watching these two equally hot women, one of who'm would have to be in their forties. Again, this kind of fare doesn't have bad acting. God knows where they get these people from. What I actually like about this movie that I can't watch wholily in one viewing is it's kind of shot in a film-noir as if the story is set in the fifties or sixties. All in all, Matinée Hookers, aka, Matinée Wives is pretty weak and is pretty hard on the eyes for even the adult fan, and missing out on seeing this wouldn't be a tragic loss.
