Psychedelic noir? Who thought that up? Basically it is a crime thriller with voice over, but then it also got trippy blue colors and loud music! And it is full of sex, violence and a silly anti-drug message! Even a hallucinogenic nightmare is shown in all it's misery. The story centers around a new drug that ruin the youth, and the assassination of drug kingpin Mac Brown. His daughter Monica(Barbara Bouchet, who look hot with dark hair) start a headhunt for the assassin, while our hero, a police inspector(Michael Reardon), investigate the murder, that show up to be pretty complicated. It gonna involve freak-out dance, sex with a cute blind girl, a sadistic Nazi-biker gang and cold blooded hit men. The story can be really hard to follow, especially because of too many questionable plot twists and characters. The highlights include a loving couple whom is chained in their bed and with gasoline turned into human torches! I found the main story to be a little too clichéd, besides of many inventive elements, though the end surprised me I thought it was seen before. But I still followed it with great interest, since it manage too create a strange and colorful world of it's own. With plenty of entertaining pulp characters. And then there is the footage of NYC in those good old days, where pusher, peddlers and perverts lurked in every corner. And it was legitimate for the NYC police to casually torture their suspects. Two versions of this movie should be available, one dubbed and one not, each with a different soundtrack.
