After performing for them with her band, a young, humble girl accidentally gets inside the life of a rich family of six siblings, and is welcomed by them, as she falls for their elder, authoritarian brother.
'Chiquititas' was a highly influential series for most kids and teenagers in Argentina, and with the latest remake, they prove it still is.
The idea was to make kids believe that, even though your life may be full of sadness (the girls in Chiquititas lived in an orphanage, and all of them had a tragical background) you'll always have someone to count on. With the advance of the series they start losing the innocent ideal of the beginning with the strike of teen hood. Girls start liking boys and likewise, but new kids are added to the staff in order to keep, still, some childish scenes to attract new audience. I still don't understand why would they call 'Chiquititas' (something like 'little girls') a show that includes boys as main characters as well. Perhaps it wasn't planned, and they added the boys when they realized the rating they had. Anyway, Chiquititas is about being young, being innocent and growing up, sharing and learning that vengeance is never the way to go.
