Emily S. Whitten: Nickelodeon and Nostalgia @ Sdcc 2016

  • Comicmix
As you undoubtedly know, San Diego’s Comic-Con International happened this past weekend, and I was fortunate to be amongst the tens of thousands of attendees. There was, as always, a mega-ton to see and do, and it was hard to keep the Fomo (Fear Of Missing Out) from getting completely out of control over the 4.5 days of the con. Tom Kenny's self-actualization about 'Spongebob' and 'Adventure Time' before your very eyes
San Diego - Come on, kids, check out what Tom Kenny has to say about self-actualization. The famed voice actor behind "Spongebob Squarepants" -- and "The Powerpuff Girls," "CatDog," "Transformers: Animated," "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "The Boondocks," "Futurama," "Winnie the Pooh" and on and on -- was on hand at San Diego Comic-Con, talking characters and talking like his characters. As the new sequel "The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" comes down the pipeline, Kenny has been reflecting on his favorite roles. His longtime yellow underwater pal has "huge positivity and being comfortable with who he is." His other favorite? The Ice King, on Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time," who's clouded by "self-loathing... I've never thought about that!" Maybe Kenny should take on Jekyll and Hyde next. Watch the video above to hear what Tom Kenny thinks about all the fans who rush up to him screaming "I'm ready!
