"Wanda, the Sadistic Hypnotist" is possibly the weirdest nudie cutie film I've yet seen, and I'm including "The Acid Eaters" and "Psyched by the 4D Witch" in that statement. Its moronic beyond belief and yet refuses to follow any logical laws of narrative cinema. Don't make any attempt to follow the plot, because you're just bound to get a headache. When watching this kind of flick, I wonder if the makers were attempting to create something so surreal or if the weirdness by purely accidental. I'm leaning somewhere in the middle. They were attempting to cash in on the hallucinogenic generation by including LSD as a plot device, but the horrible production values and complete lack of continuity add another degree of surrealism. Plus, there's some interesting instances of meta-fiction involved (the film constantly references its a film).
This is a strange flick, but don't mistake it to be anything of actual quality. Its horribly directed with lots of over-the-top acting. The director has no idea how to keep a pace going or include anything resembling continuity. Fortunately, I'd have it no other way when dealing with this psychedelic nudie cutie. There's several sex scenes that go on for a bit too long, but the absurdity and the hilarious dialog make it completely worth watching for fans of this kind of crap. Its one of the most entertaining products I've seen from Something Weird in a long while, and you know thats saying a lot. (7/10)
