Puddy and the Pup and the cat put out mousetraps for the night. As soon as they go to bed, however, out come the mice; guess who must deal with them in this funny Terrytoon.
It's hard to say whether Terry was concentrating too heavily on his studio's Technicolor cartoons or if his staff had simply hit their stride with the redesigned Puddy, but this one, with an unremarkable and typical set-up for the studio's lesser efforts, is a lot of fun. A good deal of the delight can be laid at Philip Scheib's light and funny handling of the score -- a piano composition pads the work in an engaging manner. Whatever the reasons, this is one of the better series cartoons during Terry's second peak period.
