Storyline

The near-sighted one decides to take a hunting-and-fishing trip, and hires an Indian guide. He quickly grows impatient with the guide and takes over leading the way. He winds up in a big city and in a park lake, trail-blazing his way over park benches, statutes and through the zoo, releasing a lion along the way. Hilarious Magoo short highlighted by the Indian guide

This is a Mister Magoo short from UPA Studios. There will be spoilers ahead:

Magoo decides he wants to go trailblazing in the wilderness and hires an Indian guide to take him on the trip. Naturally, when Magoo starts heading in the wrong direction and the guide tries to correct him, Magoo refuses to believe him and heads off into a park, where he damages all sorts of things marking his "trail".

The guide spends the bulk of the short trying to get Magoo to understand that he's mistaken and he isn't on a nature hike. He finally has enough after Magoo releases a lion from the zoo. The guide does what any sensible person would do when confronted with Magoo's behavior and nearsightedness-he forces Magoo to do as he's told and saves him from his own troubles. Waldo should pay attention here.

The theatrical Mister Magoos and a feature film have been released in a DVD box set done by Shout! Factory. The set is excellent and so is this short. Recommended.
