This is an extremely good Magoo short. Magoo wants to surprise his nephew Waldo with a car, so he goes to a used car lot to buy one, focusing in on a rather battered looking jalopy. The salesman, realizing that Magoo appears to be an easy mark, jacks up the price outrageously.
Magoo asks to take the car for a test drive, with the salesman reluctantly in tow. Magoo wastes little time in getting into a huge mess, with a police car in hot pursuit. With each succeeding nightmare, the salesman lowers the price of the car while desperately trying to either get away or hide.
Magoo talks him down to an equally absurd low price for the car, which the salesman accepts in desperation. Magoo gives his nephew Waldo the car and toddles off, oblivious to the bedlam unfolding around him.
This short, like all the theatrical Magoo shorts, is on a three disc set of Magoo shorts released by Shout! Factory. The set is excellent and the short is great. Recommended.
